Unlocking Fiji’s Gold Potential – Vatu Aurum Project
Kalo Gold Corp is committed to discovering and exploring multiple epithermal gold systems within the district-scale Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. Guided by advanced geological analysis and modern exploration techniques, our team is focused on unlocking high-value gold deposits in this highly prospective region.

Pioneering Sustainable Gold Exploration in Fiji
Kalo Gold Corp (TSXV: KALO, OTC: KLGDF, FWB: OSXO) is focused on the discovery and exploration of multiple epithermal gold systems within the district-scale Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. Our strategy is driven by advanced geological analysis and a commitment to sustainable development.
Covering 367 km², the Vatu Aurum Project presents a significant opportunity in the Pacific’s "Ring of Fire," a region known for world-class gold and copper deposits. Recent geological mapping and geochemical analysis confirm a well-preserved 5 km² epithermal system, with key field indicators suggesting a vertically intact gold system, analogous to major Pacific Rim deposits.

Geological History of Fiji: A Tectonic Gold Engine
Fiji’s complex geological history has created the perfect setting for world-class epithermal gold systems. Located along the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” the islands lie at the boundary of the Pacific and Australian plates, where ongoing subduction and volcanic arc evolution have shaped the mineral-rich foundation of the region.
North Island Rotation & Graben Formation
The island of Vanua Levu (North Island), home to Kalo Gold’s Vatu Aurum Project, has undergone a dramatic tectonic transformation:
Island Arc Origin: Vanua Levu (North Island) was originally part of a south-facing island arc formed by Pacific-Australian plate subduction.
Graben Opening: Continued tectonic activity caused the crust to stretch and open the Nubu Graben, a key gold-hosting fault system.
Island Rotation: The island rotated over 90° during the Miocene–Pliocene, reactivating deep faults and reshaping fluid pathways.
Volcanic Filling: Volcanic activity filled the graben with ash, lava, and hydrothermal systems over millions of years.

Why It Matters for Gold
Kalo Gold’s discoveries in the Aurum Epithermal Field, especially within the Namalau Trend and Qiriyaga Complex, are directly linked to this unique tectonic history — making Vanua Levu one of the Pacific Rim’s most compelling underexplored gold frontiers.
Reactivated faults became gold-bearing fluid conduits.
The Nubu Graben preserves a full vertical gold system — from surface sinter caps to deeper boiling zones.
Repeated volcanism provided the heat to sustain long-lived mineralization.
